Drive north from Fairbanks to a remote trailhead and start your week long Alaska Cross-Country Skiing Tour. We all carry our own appropriate gear for each day’s ski touring, snacks, extra layers, camera. Our snow machine assistance will carry everything else to each nights camp or cabin allowing you to enjoy the skiing and not be slowed down by gear and equipment. We cover between 8 and 20 miles a day depending on weather and ability. The temperature in the spring can can have daily fluctuations of 30F to -30F, 12 hours of light and enough darkness to get a glimpse of the aurora borealis. Once reaching our semi-permanent base camp, we spend a layover day to ski, read, and or relax until we start our ski tour back to the trail head.
