Having traveled the mountains and rivers of Scandinavia, Sven Grage followed the lure of Alaska 30 years ago. Experiencing the unmatched beauty of the Brooks Range (and a great passion for cross-country skiing) let him move to Alaska permanently from his native Germany. His adventures in Alaska’s North have formed a deep appreciation for wilderness he likes to share with others on the tundra, on the rivers and in the mountains. When not Guiding trips for Arctic River Guides Sven is a physical education teacher, adventurer and top notch cross-country skier.
